Inside Your Mind Workshop
A practical introduction to how your mind works — and how to change patterns that keep you stuck
How Your Mind Works In Everyday Life
You use your mind every day.
- To decide.
- To react.
- To overthink.
- To worry.
- To communicate.
- To talk yourself into things.
- To talk yourself out of things.
And yet… nobody ever showed you how it actually works.
Let’s change that. Understanding how your mind works doesn’t just explain things. It changes how you experience life itself. In practical terms, it helps you think more clearly, respond more calmly, and communicate more effectively
Why This Matters
Most people discover they have thinking habits that run automatically, emotional reactions that arrive before logic does, communication patterns they never consciously chose, and stress loops that repeat on autopilot.
When you understand the structure behind those patterns, something shifts.
Sometimes suddenly.
Often in a steady, grounded way: “Oh. That explains a lot.”
And recognition gives you options. The more complex and fast-paced life becomes, the more useful it is to understand how your own thinking works.
About This Workshop
In the Inside Your Mind Workshop you’ll explore how thinking patterns form and how small mental shifts can change everyday reactions.
You’ll notice how:
- Language shapes perception
- Focus directs emotion
- Physiology influences mood
- Assumptions steer behaviour
- Tiny mental shifts change big reactions
And you’ll leave knowing how to use those changes in everyday life.
The workshop is led by Stephanie Philp, a Master Trainer of NLP with more than 30 years’ experience helping people understand how their minds work so they can change their lives on purpose. What You’ll Experience
This is a lively, interactive workshop grounded in real life.
Expect laughter, moments of recognition, and that quiet sense of relief that comes from finally understanding something that used to puzzle you.

Participants during an Inside Your Mind workshop
You’ll be:
- Exploring how your thinking patterns form
- Discovering why misunderstandings happen so easily
- Practising tools to interrupt unhelpful reactions
- Testing how body language affects what you feel
- Noticing the difference between reacting and consciously choosing
- Trying simple exercises that demonstrate how quickly perception changes
Some of them are so simple you may find yourself wondering…
“How come we weren’t taught this at school? I can apply the skills immediately.”
— D. McClelland – Life Coach
The workshop draws on practical principles from NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and related approaches to help you understand and use your thinking more effectively.
What Starts to Make Sense
By the end of the day, people often notice they feel calmer about their own thinking, less pushed around by stress, clearer in how they communicate. Many also feel more confident handling tricky situations. They also tend to become more aware of their patterns — without judging themselves for having them.
For some people that means feeling calmer in situations that used to trigger them.
For others it means shifting long-standing thinking habits, or finally quietening unhelpful inner commentary.
Many notice they can turn nervous energy into steady focus and clear communication.
Those inner shifts don’t stay theoretical. They show up in everyday life.
How This Shows Up in Real Life
People often use what they learn here to:
- handle stressful conversations without spiralling
- calm their mind before presentations or meetings
- make decisions without going round in circles
- notice a mood and shift it sooner
- respond rather than react in challenging situations
- change internal self-talk that undermines confidence
Who This Is This Workshop For
This workshop is for capable, thoughtful people who:
- Want better control over their reactions
- Get frustrated with their own overthinking
- Want to communicate more clearly
- Feel stuck in repetitive patterns
- Are curious about how their mind works
- Prefer practical tools to vague inspiration
You don’t need prior experience, confidence, or a particular personality type. Curiosity and an open mind are the only things you need for this workshop.

What Makes This Workshop Different
You won’t just hear ideas. You’ll experience the principles in real time, understand why they work, practise using them, and leave knowing you can apply them immediately.
It’s intelligent without being heavy. Playful without being fluffy. Practical without being simplistic.
What People Notice Afterwards
At the end of the day, people often say: “I wish I’d learned this years ago.” Not because it’s complicated. Because it makes everyday life easier.
Here’s what that kind of change can look like in real life:
“I used to shake so badly during presentations people would ask if I was alright.
After applying what I learned, I delivered a presentation without shaking — and even sang part of it.
Since then I’ve spoken to audiences of 400+ people and received multiple business awards.”
— Jeremy Hughes, Director & Business Owner

“In a room full of people, I used to walk out remembering only two names. After a five-minute exercise on this course, I remembered all fifteen. I also left with practical tools for confidence and positive self-talk that I could use immediately.”
— Sally Clark
“The most valuable thing for me was learning anchoring — I’m actually going home to do my tax return! It’s a practical introduction with tools you can use straight away.”
— Lisa James

If You’re Curious…
If you’ve ever thought:
“Why do I react like that?”
“Why does that conversation always go wrong?”
“Why can’t I just stop overthinking?”
“Why does my mood shift so fast?”
This is a good place to start.
Because once you understand how your mind works, you can change it — and keep the change.
Some people choose to continue their learning in the two-day Create Your Future – Now workshop, which explores how thinking, emotion and intention combine to shape the future.
