Why you need all 3 brains for manifestation success
Have you ever set a goal that felt exciting at first—only to abandon it when doubt or overwhelm crept in?
Maybe your head was buzzing with plans, your gut whispered “Not so fast,” and your heart said… well, nothing helpful.
The truth is, turning dreams into reality involves more than just wishful thinking or grit—it’s about alignment. Specifically, aligning your 3 brains: head, heart, and gut.
It’s just one of the secrets to successful manifestation.
To truly master the art of creating your future, you need clarity, connection, and action. And when your 3 brains work in harmony, they form the foundation of a powerful process.
Why most people struggle to manifest their dreams
Here’s why achieving your goals can feel like wading through wet concrete:
- Your head brain might overthink every step, trapping you in analysis paralysis.
- Your heart brain may stay silent, leaving you unmotivated or emotionally detached.
- Your gut brain could hold back, sensing misalignment and urging you to pause.
These brains have wisdom to share, but they don’t always speak the same language. And—spoiler alert—your heart and gut brains aren’t going to give you long, logical answers. With fewer brain cells than your head, they’re more like your inner sages, offering quick, intuitive nudges.
Getting in tune with your 3 brains
To tap into the wisdom of your 3 brains, you first need to create the right state of mind.
- Pause and Breathe: Start with slow, deep breaths to calm your nervous system. This helps your head brain quiet down and allows your heart and gut to “speak up.”
- Ask and Listen: Pose a question to each brain. Your gut and heart won’t offer wordy responses. Long replies indicate your head brain is getting in the way and trying to “translate” the other two brains feelings, instincts or words into comprehensive sentences! Ignore! It can help to put your hands in the corresponding area of you body as you ask these questions:
- Heart: Does this truly feel meaningful and aligned with my values?
- Gut: How does this deeply feel?
- Head: What do I really think about this?
Pay attention to subtle signals:
The gut might give you a sensation (tight or relaxed), while the heart may evoke a sense of excitement or unease. Trust these cues—they’re guiding you. Find ways to strengthen your 3 brains here.
Avoiding the ego trap

Here’s a truth bomb: not all goals are created equal. A goal driven by ego—like buying an expensive car just to impress others—might feel exciting in the moment, but it won’t bring long-term happiness.
This is where the heart brain shines. It’s your emotional compass, steering you toward goals that align with your values and bring genuine fulfilment.
How to spot an ego-based goal:
- Does it feel hollow, like you’re chasing approval or status?
- Is it disconnected from what truly makes you happy?
- When you consult your heart, it can gently redirect you toward goals that resonate on a deeper level—ones that bring lasting joy.
“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs
Three tips to start creating your future
1. Write your goals positively and in the present tense
Your unconscious mind takes you literally. By phrasing goals as if they’re already happening, you create a mental shift.
So, instead of: “I want to be confident.”
Try: “I am confident and capable when talking to my team.”
This simple tweak reprogrammes your brain to believe in your success.
2. Access the wisdom of your 3 brains
Practice tuning into each brain with this quick exercise:
Sit quietly, take a few deep breaths, and think about your goal.

Ask:
- Heart: Does this feel meaningful and align with my values?
- Gut: Does this feel right and is it motivating?
- Head: What logical and creative steps can I take next?
Notice the responses—whether they’re words, feelings, or sensations.
3. Focus on gratitude and the positive
Gratitude shifts your mindset and raises your energy, making you more open to opportunities.
Morning Practice: List three things you’re grateful for.
Evening Reflection: Imagine how achieving your goal will expand your gratitude.
A story of 3 brain alignment
Let me tell you about Sophie
She came to see me feeling stuck and unsure whether to stay in her job or take a risk on a new career.
When she thought about her current work, her head said, “Stay safe.” Her heart whispered, “This isn’t what you love,” and her gut screamed, “Run!”
By tuning into her 3 brains, Sophie uncovered what mattered most—creativity, freedom, and meaningful work. Her heart helped her refine her goal, her head created a plan, and her gut gave her the courage and motivation to take bold steps. Within months, she was thriving in a new role that truly aligned with her values.
